Course Description
Course # 4 is the final course in the 4-part "Project Management Basics" curriculum. The course presents an easy-to-use control model to help you manage projects from start to finish, including a 3-step problem solving system. The course then moves on to risk management and how to identify, anticipate, and overcome common obstacles. Course #4 also reviews communication options and media for internal and external status reporting, with advantages and disadvantages given for each. Lastly, the course identifies 8 key project management activities, the concept of project phases, and time management/priority setting within each phase. The exercises and assignments illustrate learning points and offer effective practice and feedback. The course also includes reference documents to help you complete assignments, which then become "take-aways" for on the job application.
